“Investment in renewable energies” conference calls for removing coercive measures imposed on country

Damascus, SANA-First conference of “investment in renewable energies and electricity” on Monday called for lifting the unilateral coercive measures imposed on the Syrian people in light of their negative impacts on electricity.

The participants, in the final recommendations, stressed the importance of activating the electrical interconnection among Arab countries and encouraging the establishment of joint-stock companies in the field of renewable energies and electricity.

They also demand the consideration of renewable energy projects as part of the value of the guarantees offered to obtain funds for new projects and increase the lands allocated for the Ministry of Electricity in order to invest in renewable energy.
