Damascus, SANA -The Education Ministry announced that it will begin carrying out remedial lessons to compensate for educational losses for Category B basic education students from August 11th to the 31st.
In a statement on Saturday, the Ministry instructed its directorates in all provinces to open the schools designated for the basic education for Category B students from Saturday till Thursday each weak in order to make up for educational losses through remedial lessons.
The Ministry stressed that all schools must be disinfected every day before the students arrive, and that drinking water and clean facilities must be available.
The students covered by this plan will attend the remedial classes at the nearest school to their homes with a B curriculum , with no more than 20 students in each classroom, all of whom will undergo temperature scans along with teachers and staff, noting that teachers and staff must be under 55 years of age and free of chronic diseases.
The Ministry also stressed on the necessity of securing daily health supervision teams which consist of doctors and health assistants whose task is to ensure implementing the health procedures and examine sick students, in addition to raising health awareness about the Coronavirus.
